Privacy Policy
Effective July 2026 · This is a plain-language summary of how we handle your information. We wrote it to be readable, not to hide behind legal jargon.
The short version: Ollowen is built to hold as little of your information as possible. Your child's day-to-day eczema data lives on your own device — not our servers. The only thing we collect from you right now is the email you give us to join the waitlist. We never sell your data, and we never run ads.
What we collect
- Waitlist details: the email address you submit, and any optional answers you choose to give (such as your child's age range or what you find hardest). These are processed through our form provider, Tally.
- The Ollowen app: the app stores your check-ins, notes, and any photos you choose to add locally on your device. None of this is uploaded to us or to any server — it never leaves your device. We do not require your child's real name, birthdate, or a photo; adding a photo during a check-in is entirely optional. If you download a backup file to move to a new device, that file is saved directly by your browser to your own device — we never see or receive it.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our host may log standard, non-identifying request information (such as approximate region and browser type) to keep the site secure.
How we use it
- To email you when early access opens, and occasional updates about Ollowen.
- To understand, in aggregate, what parents need most — so we build the right things first.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your information.
- We never show you ads or share your data with advertisers.
- We never use your child's information to recommend or push a specific medication.
Children's privacy
Ollowen is intended for use by parents and caregivers, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and the app is designed so that no child sign-up or child personal identifiers are required. Any photo a parent chooses to add — for example, to track how their child's skin looks over time — is stored only on that parent's own device and is never transmitted to us, so we never receive or hold that image.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email.
- You can ask us to delete your waitlist information by contacting us (below).
- In the app, you can delete all of your data from your device at any time using the "Reset all data" option.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights to access or delete your data. Contact us and we'll help.
Third parties
We use a small number of trusted services to run Ollowen — currently our form provider (Tally) and our website host. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We keep this list short on purpose.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let waitlist members know by email.
